Belgacom

The Belgacom Group, composed of Belgacom NV/SA and its main subsidiaries Proximus (Belgacom Mobile), Telindus (Belgacom ICT), Belgacom International Carrier Services, Skynet, Tango and Scarlet, is the largest telecommunication company in Belgium.

Scope

In 2006, Belgacom launched a call for tenders for the delivery, installation, connection and activation of an Integrated Security Platform (ISP) in Belgacom buildings. In 2007 the project was allocated to Telindus, with Sky-Walker as an integration platform.

Features and connected systems

The scope of ISP is to build an upper layer for security systems acting upon a Belgacom premise:

  • Access control
  • Intrusion detection systems
  • Fire detection
  • CCTV
  • Planned work
  • Managed by 6 active servers and 6 hot standby servers
  • 24 graphical workstations are distributed over several dispatching points
  • Over 760 buildings covering the country, are connected to the Sky-Walker platform
