Dalkia, European leader in managing technical installations with specific attention to sustainable energy, decided to opt for the Sky-Walker integration platform for Tour du Midi, Brussels (Belgium). This in order to manage and optimize energy related processes.
Tour du Midi is the tallest building in Belgium. It has a height of 150 metres (492 feet), disposes about 38 floors and moreover counts 3 basement floors and 11 elevators. A maximum of 2200 to 2500 employees can work in this tower. Besides, it's located near the Brussels South Railway Station. Tour du Midi was constructed from 1962 to 1967 and was the tallest skyscraper in the former 'European Community' until 1972. It was renovated during 14 months from 1995 to 1996 and from that moment on provided with unitised glass panels using double glass solarbel silver.
Using Sky-walker, critical measurements related to energy processes are recorded every 15 minutes. On demand, reports and statistics can be generated by Dalkia. Based on the output of reports, parameters can be adapted in order to reduce the energy consumption level.
