For the variety of streams generated by IP-camera’s, IP-encoders, DVR's, NVR's, etc. Sky-Walker Virtual IP-matrix provides a unique interface for different types of equipment, made by different manufacturers.
Why using Sky-Walker Virtual IP-matrix
- Diversity of products on the market
- Unique user interface for each device
- Closed systems for digital recording
- Availability of protocols to communicate with different IP-devices
- Diversity of video formats and image transmission protocols
- Manufacturer dependant PTZ-protocol for movable cameras
- Need for a video wall solution for different types of IP-equipment
To manage the variety of features an Open IP-Camera Integration Platform is essential to:
- Create a user friendly and uniform graphical interface, independent from IP-devices;
- Design an open protocol to communicate with external programs, while maintaining maximum functionality of IP-devices;
- Optimize a maximum amount of video streams to limited hardware.
Sky-Walker Virtual IP-matrix can be used for:
-
Alarm and/or central management in a dispatch center/control room
-
As a replacement of analog cameras/VCR combinations (4, 8, 16 camera images). This is applicable in petrol stations, department stores, malls, small and large offices, public buildings, etc.
-
Neighbourhood watch and street monitoring
-
Monitoring of motorways and tunnels with object tracking connected to an alarm management system
Today large as well as small offices and stores are equipped with an intrusion detection system, which is connected to a central dispatch. After reception of an incoming alarm message, Sky-Walker Virtual IP-matrix can automatically switch the video image from the originally observed location to the alarm location.
